Altera Usb Blaster

Hello

I cannot communicate with USB Blaster via Quartus II Software.

I am trying to read Altera EMP7032SLC44-10 IC software. I need to get the software from inside the IC.

I am connection to Altera with USB Blaster, but I could not find where I am wrong. I attached the pictures. Can you help me?

    Thanks for the clarification. From the explanation, you would like to get the POF file from an encrypted device.

    For your information, once the device is encrypted, the device cannot be detected / programmed with Quartus Programmer. To enabled JTAG access and read back the POF file, you need to have an IP included in the device for lock / unlock JTAG. If the IP is not instantiated in the design, I afraid you cant unlock the JTAG and read back the POF file.

      Hello,

      Thank you for your answer. Is this IP identification done on the IC? or Is the Reader included in the adapter?

      Can I get more information on this? Where should the IP be?

      Can we use Ethernet Blaster as IP reader for this?

    Hi,


    Apologize that the IP is not available in legacy device such as MAX 7000. For MAX 7000, once the security bit is programmed, the design in the FPGA cannot be retrieved anymore. There is no other solution for this.
