What is encompassed for "SoC Linux"?

I am looking at an Arria 10 SoC, the quick start guide states the HPS will boot Linux.

With the Golden System Reference Design (GSRD), it states Linux.

What Linux distributions are supported? Is it just the kernel and a few extras?

Is there a size specified for the "Linux image", say <70 MB?
