time-limited ???????

Hi ,i recently buy a DE0-nano dev.kit and when i where dowloading a .sof with NIOS2 this happens to me. a warning say: Info: SRAM Object File C:/Users/Juan Pablo/Documents/Facultad/Proyecto...

Basically what this says is the .sof was compiled with the unlicensed trial version of NIOS and will time out.

I don't know what the timeout period for the NIOS processor is, but it's usually pretty generous between 15 minutes and 1 hour depending on the core.

This allows you enough time to try the core for free, but would be unacceptable for a production unit.

To produce a continuously running NIOS system, you need the NIOS add-on license which usually runs $500 or so.
