QSYS failed after upgrade to Quartus 21.1

Hello folks,

I have upgraded Quartus from very old version to 21.1 and i can not regenerate qsys module for DDR2 any more.

Error that i am getting is :

Error: s0: Error during execution of "{C:/intelfpga/21.1/quartus/../nios2eds/Nios II Command Shell.bat} make all 2>> stderr.txt": child process exited abnormally

I tried to search for solution, applied 0.01std patch but still have an issue.

Could you help me with it? I am inside Intel on local network.

    Hi AlecBelousov,


    Is it possible that you try to use the Quartus 21.1 Linux version instead?

    I think the Linux version will work fine, as the Windows version got some issues when working with ddr related projects.

    No, i cannot try Quartus 21.1 Linux version right now. Is there way to make Windows version to work?

    Hi AlecBelousov,


    I noticed this issue only happened to Quartus Windows version.

    Quartus Linux version is working fine.

    There is a HSD filed for engineering. It is still in investigation stage and I dont think this issue will be solved in a short time.
