problems regarding NIOS 2 hardware development tutorial

hi,

i am a relatively new user of nios 2.

i am using nios 2 ide 9.1 edition,quartus 2 9.1 edition,cyclone 2 DE2 board-EP2C35F672C6N.

i hav a problem regarding the following tutorial "nios2_hardware_tutorial.pdf "

it asks for a "hw_dev_tutorial.sdc" file which cannot be found.

where is it?plz cud anybody help?shud i be looking somewhere else?

and one more thing,in the nios 2 application and bsp from template window,

there is a "SOPC information file name" field along with a "cpu name" field?

what does the "cpu name" signify ?

plz help!!

    Hello, did u find the hw_dev_tutorial.sdc file? Can you send me that file?

    It's the same question : where find the "hw_dev_tutorial.sdc" file ? :confused:

    cpu name is the name of the nios 2 processor in the sopc design.Once you put the .sopc file in the box above it it will automatically show the cpu name in the box.one need not write it.

    The .sdc file is in your folder where you have stored the project.It is automatically generated but you have to add it.While adding the file , in the file types select all files or sdc file type and add it to the project.you cant see it coz by default the file type is set to .qpf

    so you can see only qpf file.change the file type while selection of the file
