Problem with NIOSII template project files

I created a new template from the File > "NIOS II Application and from BSP Template" option for an ethernet TSE simple socket server. I went through the wizard and ended up with a project that did not include the BSP part of the project. I followed a similar format of the "Using the NicheStack TCP/IP Stack" and even created a BSP template. The BSP did not show up at the end of the wizard. I added it in later but all my build options were deleted.

Do the BSP templates actually work? Has anyone successfully used them? Are there any 'critical' steps that you have to take to get them to work?
