Picture Viewer on DE-2

Hello all,

I have a NIOSII-based system capable of transmitting pixels to a VGA controller similar to the one described in Video IP Suite: Video Out.

I would like to be able to just show jpeg images (stored in flash or SD memory, it doesn't matter) in a vga display, nothing more. For that, I found the NEEK picture viewer (available as System Architect Tutorial) which is more or less what I had in mind. The problem is that in this tutorial it is implemented a system to use the LCD touchscreen, to move the images and more. Besides, it is for a NEEK cycloneIII board and I have a available just a DE-2 cycloneII available.

I would like some help to modify the System Architect Tutorial code in order to suit my needs: showing a jpeg image in a VGA display using a DE-2 board.
