NIOS2 how to work in fpga use crossgcc

I wanna work NIOS2 program in fpga.

normally, use eclipse. That is easy. but i want use CrossGcc.

That is can make elf file. but i don't know how to work environment in FPGA.

1, how to download program for NIOS2 fpga?

2, it is need settings? (like linker...)
