Nios system without jtag communication

Is it possible to use a nios based system even if the jtag communication cable is detached?? If I want to make an application in which some data is to be processed without having a host computer? ...

Thanks for your answers...but I want to know that how will I able to run my system without a host pc if i use this low-end Nios core..have anybody tried this?
