NIOS - bootloader, boot code

New to NIOS ...

Just wanted to understand if there is any difference between bootloader & bootcode.

Also, why do EDS documents make a distinction as where the bootcode/bootloader lies (flash, onchip). Where the start up code lies should be transparent to since the start address should automatically result in read access to appropriate memory holding the program
