how to use sys_timer and high_res_timer

when I test the simple socket server sample, it be required sys_timer and high_res_timer. how to use it .where? when ? thanks !

or it is the following?:

the sys_timer is for sys_clk_timer(nios ii bsp editor->common->main->)

and other is for timestamp_timer?
