How i should start with ecos ?

I am new to this forum as well to this forum also.

How can start towards ecos ?

which primary knowledge i should have to start with ecos and to develope an application on that?

i would prefer linux enironment for ecos though i am new to linux.

please also give any documentation, pdfs or general procedure to get start with linux, ecos and application development on linux.
