Double Tap DE0-Nano-SoC G-Sensor

I want to use the double tap interrupt in the DE0-Nano-SoC. I have no clue where to start. I am programming in C. I quite understood the G-Sensor but I am unable to make any progress in the double tap feature.

Also my EDS Command Shell gives me the following error:

SSH: connection timed out. How can i resolve this issue? i configured the ip address of the board properly and was able to dump the code a lot of times before but i have no idea how to resolve this issue.
