We have differential input, How can this be given to ALT LVDS RX IP

Hello,

we are designing a LVDS receiver on Cyclone 10 LP which receives differential data from TI AWR6843. How do we connect differential input to cyclone 10 LP device since ALT LVDS RX IP is not compatible with differential input?
Also what should be the pin mapping for this differential ports on Cyclone 10 LP?

regards

    Hello,

ALT LVDS IP is compatible with any IO standard that you connect to the input. For LVDS input, choose a differential pair and assign the positive pin to the receiver input signal. Also select LVDS IO standard for the signal, requires that the respective bank is powered by 2.5V. Negative pin is added automatically by the fitter.

Thanks Frank, selecting input signal as LVDS IO standard will completely take care of differential input? or should we use ALTIOBUF IP in differential mode before giving it as an input to ALTLVDS RX IP?

It's rarely necessary to place low-level primitives like ALTIOBUF in Quartus designs. The fitter will completely take care of all settings.
