Required Speed Grade for Agilex 5 E Series to Support IEEE 1588 in Triple-Speed Ethernet IP

Good day,

I'm working with the Agilex 5 E series FPGA and need to implement IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) in the Triple-Speed Ethernet IP.

Could anyone clarify which speed grades of the Agilex 5 E series are officially supported by Intel for the IEEE 1588 function in the Triple-Speed Ethernet IP? Additionally, if anyone has experience, I'd appreciate any guidance on setting this up in Quartus to ensure the 1588 feature is properly configured.

    Hi,

For Triple-Speed Ethernet IP, currently it just support for -I6 and -E6 preliminary with minimum speed grade with 1588 Feature.
