JESD204B IP core license

Dear Expert

I just get a project using Arria V to implement JESD204B. I have two questions.

1. the developing tools, Arria V device only supported by Quartus Standard edition. is that true?

2. if I purchase a Standard edition and a TSW14J56EVM board, do I need to buy the JESD204B IP core license? how much is it?

I try to search from the Intel website, it is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Thank god we have this community, appreciate your input.

David

I don't think I have heard any feedback yet. I have been trying to figure out how to purchase a Jesd204B license, I am helping someone investigate a TI demo board called TSW14J56 which uses Altera's chip and IP core. it doesn't like I am purchasing something at Amazon. even I know what I want to buy, but I couldn't figure out how to buy it, even couldn't figure out who to contact, what number to call. it is sad that there isn't Altera anymore.

Here is what I have done. search JESD204B, you will find a page, https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/products/intellectual-property/ip/interface-protocols/m-jesd-megacore1.html?wapkw=jesd204b

      you will find 3 links

Contact Intel Sales, User Guide, and IP Evaluation and Purchase.

the only link I can understand is the User Guide.

I guess the web designer doesn't know why to link the button, so they just link it to the Intel main web page.

by the way, the IP Evaluation and Purchase will lead you to a page https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/support-resources/download/megacore-ip.html

it is amazing if you click the link of Self-service licensing center or Intel FPGA representative.

I feel a little frustrated. Intel is too big to take care of the small user, but Altera is too big to be ignored.

      Best Regards,

      David
