How many soft memory controller can I fit in Altera FPGA

Stratix V overview mentioned maximum can fit in 6 x72 DIMM DDR3 soft memory controller. How to calculate this?

Can I know also how many max width and soft memory controller I can put into Stratix IV, Cyclone V and Arria V? Anyone know how to calculate this?

Probably limited by the number of IO pins that can be set into the appropriate mode.
