CXL Base Hard IP CPI interface question

Why does the CPI interface of CXL Base Hard IP have 8 rsp_rxcrd_valid and rsp_rxcrd_protocal_id signals? It only has 2 ingress and egress channel.According to my understanding，It should have 2 rsp_rx...

Hi there,

This is an interesting question. According to my discussion with the IP team, the reason for this phenomenon is not caused by the IP itself. The soft logic part of the CXL IP simply converts the packets received from the R-Tile. When the R-Tile sends them over, there are four response channels, but the CXL IP converts them into the standard CPI interface. Therefore, the routing logic is provided by the R-Tile, and the CXL IP just follows it.
