Xbee & Cyclone II(DE2) not working

Hi,

I'm trying to send some data from one xbee to another, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I connected the second xbee (the one that receives data) to an oscilloscope, and it's showing something different than what I send.

I'm working with XBee 1mW Chip Antennas (connected to Xbee Explorer Regulated).

both are connected to the GPIOs on DE2.

Any idea why this might be?

I'm gave it a 1khz clock, is it the problem? I'ver tried some other frequencies but it didn't help..

Any help would be much appreciated.
