Using output pins to heat up CycloneIII

Hi everyone, I need to programmatically change the core temperature of a CycloneIII FPGA, in order to test the functionality of my IP core. I already do this using the dynamic power dissipation...

Changing your design to test an IP core doesn't sound like a good idea to me (how do you know if your changes broke or fixed the IP core?). If you want to test across temperatures why not buy/rent a temperature chamber?
