USB driver Altera DE2 Windows 7

I would like to install a driver on Windows 7 for an Altera product.

DE2 board, USB driver.

The project is to send data from DE2's ISP1362 USB chip, and have it recognized by the Windows 7 OS.

So, I must add new hardware in the device manager.

Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (advanced):

Show all devices.

Have Disk...

Browse: ...\Altera\DE2_demonstrations\DE2_NIOS_DEVICE_LED\SW\src\D12test.inf

Open

OK

Error: "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver (which it does), make sure it is designed to work with Windows for 32-bit systems."

Make sure the driver is designed to work with Windows for 32-bit systems.

Additionally, the DE2 board is powered (JTAG) and connected to the the desktop via USB cable. Not once has the Windows 7 OS identified the device as 'new hardware' (little pop-up window in bottom right of screen has never been seen).

I was hoping that you could help me by supplying me with the driver designed to work with Windows for 32-bit systems (if there is one).

Hey Im having a similar problem...

    Did you solve that?

I'm trying to modify the DE2_70_NIOS_DEVICE_LED but Im having a lot of trouble to compile it in the NIOS II 9.1 IDE. Did you have any issues with that? Did you use NIOS II 9.1 IDE to compile the example? Did you make any modifications on the code, or it compiled just fine the first time?

    Thanks

    Yes.

To run it, use windows XP.

Any version of Quartus II. (eith 7.2 or 11.1 (probably any version))

As for NIOS IDE, version 7.2.

The most important thing was to run on windows XP.

Trying different versions of NIOS IDE.

    It works on XP.

Be sure to follow the instructions in the README, exactly.

    Hope that helps.
