Transceiver vs LVDS channel for cameralink

Hello, Can anyone describe difference between high speed transceivers vs LVDS channels? My problem now is that I want to connect camera (base configuration) with cammeralink interface to FPGA device ...

Hi , If it is not high speed communication,Altera LVDS IP works fine. But with LVDS IO standard, we do not have any characterization data
