I have been given an FPGA board to learn in my research. The board is altera stratix ( first stratix or stratix I). The license set-up shows quartus as full license till sep-2021 but its showing my board is not installed. What should I do. ? What is the problem? I am in big problem. I sincerely need your help guys. Hope to hear from you soon.
Honored ContributorAfter you install Quartus, you have to install the devices.
Click on the "Individual files" tab in this window and you will see the files: https://www.altera.com/download/software/quartus-ii-se You would need to install (at least): 12.1sp1_devices_stratix_hardcopy_i_to_iv_windows.exe Cheers, DaveHonored Contributorhello dave
Thanks for your reply. I am currently using Quartus 9.0 web edition as it says. In license setup it show full license till sept-2021. It means license is not an issue. But when I went to device assignment it says " selected device EP1S40780C5_HARDCOPY_FPGA_PROTOTYPE is supported in current version of the quartus II software, but support for the device is not installed--select an installed device".
