Honored Contributorstratix board question
Hello Everyone,
I have been given an FPGA board to learn in my research. The board is altera stratix ( first stratix or stratix I). The license set-up shows quartus as full license till sep-2021 but its showing my board is not installed. What should I do. ? What is the problem? I am in big problem. I sincerely need your help guys. Hope to hear from you soon.3 Replies
Altera_ForumAfter you install Quartus, you have to install the devices.
Click on the "Individual files" tab in this window and you will see the files: https://www.altera.com/download/software/quartus-ii-se You would need to install (at least): 12.1sp1_devices_stratix_hardcopy_i_to_iv_windows.exe Cheers, Dave- Altera_Forum

Thanks for your reply. I am currently using Quartus 9.0 web edition as it says. In license setup it show full license till sept-2021. It means license is not an issue. But when I went to device assignment it says " selected device EP1S40780C5_HARDCOPY_FPGA_PROTOTYPE is supported in current version of the quartus II software, but support for the device is not installed--select an installed device".
