stf file is damaged / Windows Vista Error

Greetings,

I use Windows Vista and when I try to create a project in Nios II 8.0 IDE it says that "stf file is damaged" , and when I open the folder that the project is created in I see that stf file is Microsoft Setup File. How can I solve this problem ungiving up to use Windows Vista?
