SoCKit JTAG PROGRAMMING problem: -- expected 1 device(s) but found 2 device(s)

Hi. Did "my_first_fpga" and "my_first_HPS" with SoCKit -- no problems. Now, I can no longer program the fpga on Cyclone V. Programmer gives error "209031 Device chain in Chain Description File does not match physical device chain -- expected 1 device(s) but found 2 devices(s)". Windows Device Manager reports 2 drivers under JTAG cables, (1) Altera USB-Blaster II (JTAG interface) and (2) Altera USB-Blaster II (System Console Interface). Pls help - thx.

What happens when you click the auto-detect button in the Quartus programmer? I don't recognize that error code but it sounds like you have two devices on the JTAG chain (probably the FPGA and the HPS JTAGs) while the programmer is only expecting one of them.

Usually when I run into stuff like this I hit the auto-detect button, change the programming file for the FPGA that it finds on the JTAG chain, then program the device.

Thanks BadOmen, your second paragraph above worked. Autodetect was finding two devices... but my problem was that I was not selecting 5CSXFC6D6F31 (the FPGA portion of the Cyclone V) to send the .sof.
