Sorry about "bragging" earlier but whenever I submit an SR or go to the forums I feel treated as though I don't know what I'm about. In some cases, like this one, I may not but I only go to these when I've run through near everything I can find, try everything I can think of and I'm finally frustrated.
SRs are the worst, they take too long in response and usually tell me to read the document I've just quoted them without an answer.
Anyway,
I had mentioned earlier that there are available single components like Lantronix XPORT which have built in them an ethernet interface capability yet clearly don't have an embedded processor. Something similar to that would be an excellent FPGA IP and I was hoping someone knew where I could buy such since I'm not finding it.
P.S. I did go and download the InterNiche "Super Loop" .zip you suggested but haven't yet looked at it.
