signaltap II and MaxII

I can't get signal tap to work with my terasic MAXII micro kit . Does signaltap work with a cpld like MAXII ? If not is there another way to see how a programme works while running in the MAXII ?

Signaltap needs a lot of memory and does not work with current CPLDs.

To test your program in hardware you can use an fpga platform or logic analyser for ports.
