SignalTap -> Data Depth set to 0 -> when useful?

Hi All, In SignalTap there is an option to define the Data Depth to '0'... When is this option useful? Thank you!

Hi,

When sample depth 0 is selected, no ram is needed. In that case, STP becomes a simple logical condition test tool. The waveform viewer still tells you whether condition is met or not, instead of drawing waveforms.

Now I'm curios too )

What exactly signaltap shows when sample depth = 0? I can't check it right now myself.
