Honored ContributorAnyone know how I can send a 16 bit binary word typed from a keyboard and send it to an input on my FPGA board? I am using Quartus ii and Terasic C1 development board. A gui with an input box and a send button would be ideal I just don’t know were to start any suggestions??

Honored ContributorIn the past, I would use Nios+JTAG with download cable as the communication interface and use nios-console to write in values. Quartus now has features such as In-System memory editor and In-System Sources and Probes. Haven't tried them but I think which help you achieve what you want. Only need a download cable and Quartus.
