Real number on FGPA Virtex II

I need to use real numbers in a math processing in FPGA Virtex II, but I don't know what is better, verilog, or vhdl? Can you help me?

Real numbers can be handled by any FPGA family using floating point libraries (Altera MegaFunctions). They are part of the Quartus software.
