Problem with IPcore

hello everyone:

can low version ip be use in high version quartusii 8.0 software?

what is the main piont i have to pay attention to?

i installed fft ip core"fft-v2.1.3" in quartusii 8.0,but it cannot be used.the error information is "unable to access jarfile" .but other low version ipcores works properly.

    I can't speak to the specific problem you are having here, but a well designed IP core should work across the tool revisions. Preferably get source code for your IP cores to remain in full control - it pays in the end.
