Problem on using the ADC of StraixII

I want to input a zipzac wave from a signal generator to the "ADC in "of the board and then obtain the result, beside assigning the pin to the input, how to set the ADC clock to run the ADconverter? because in the signaltap, it always display the message "waiting clock"...don't know what to do with that..
