Problem in programming C II using ASP or JTAG

Can I configure C II FPGA without CPLD? I designed a board that uses C II EP2C5t144 and used ONLY a config chip called EPCS1NI8. I attached the schematic here for that portion. Can you hel...

You should be able to upload your design in the EPCS through the Quartus programmer and the USB blaster connected to the ASP connector.

Check also that your FPGA MSEL pins are configured in AS mode, or the FPGA won't try to configure itself from the EPCS.
