PAL replacement

Hi, I want to replace Lattice GAL16V8D (PALCE16V8Q-25JC4, outputs are not registered) and the TI 16VR8D/2JC(registered outputs) with Atmel's ATF16V8D. Please anybody let me know if this works ...

There's no Altera part similar to GAL/PALCE16V8. For low complexity PLDs, MAX3000A series is still the first choice. It's a 3.3V device with 5V tolerant inputs. Higher complexity PLD is MAX II/MAX V, without 5V tolerance.
