Nios ll ver 11.1

I am trying to compile and run DE2-115 examples in Nios ll , but it just sits there and dosent compile . I have tried to run it by specifying the workspace and also from within quartus .

Its the :

Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers

Version: Helios Service Release 1

Build id: 20100917-0705

It was installed with the quartus webpack, do i need a separate license to run it ???
