(newbie) licensing question. NIC ID means i have to pay somehow?

Hallo forum!I 'm in panic!I completed a form and put my NIC ID, then a mail came to me with a license file. I used it and then "it said" that the license type is web edition and that i can use the software til september 09. Do i have to pay somehow for this, and if so can i cancel it somehow?I I just want to use the free edition of quartus for educational reasons, as a student. I sent a reply message to altera but i think i 'm going to die until i get a responce.Thank you.

    Yes no worries. That is how the free license works. It is free but Altera still wants the license tied to your NIC. I think they like to keep track of who has licenses and where they are being used. When it expires in September, you can get another free license.
