[MAX3064] Is clock input(not TCLK) is necessary to program using byteblater

Hi,

I'm going to use MAX3064-10 in my asynchronous simple CPLD design.. I really dont need to use a clk.(@ CLkin1 or Clkin2). Is it ok to not connect any Xtal to CPLD. OR this clock is really eeded in programming (im using Byte Blaster).

sorry for the silly question... but I want to confirm this. I feel ext Clk not required but need to confirm b4 designing the PCB.

appreciate your response

If you are implementing combinational logic only, you don't need to connect a clock.
