Max V CPLD Memory storage Query

I would like to know where exactly the firmware flashed by the user gets stored in Altera MAX V family CPLD since its user flash memory block is 8 Kbits only and my firmware file size is 44KB...

What do you mean with "firmware file"? The configuration *.pof? It's stored in CFM.
