Max 10 FPGA Dev Kit, Windows 7 or 10?

Thanks for some previous help.

The readme.txt file in c:\altera\13.1\kits\Max10M50 tells me to have the following:

Software Requirements
========================
Demo applications installed with the Development Kit require the installation
of Quartus II v15.0.0/145 and are supported on the following operating systems:
* Windows 7 (64 and 32 bit)
* Windows XP SP2 (64 and 32 bit)
* Windows XP Pro X64 Edition

Therefore I ought to load version 15 of Quartus II Web.

My company issued laptop has Windows 10 Enterprise. Is this a problem, or could I get away with hit.

Thanks for any help.

Scott S.

    Not sure if the demo applications actually don't work with recent Quartus versions, e.g. 21.1, but I can tell that I'm running Quartus 9 and 13.1 under Windows 10 without any problem.

    I run Quartus II Web 13.0sp1, and Quartus Prime Lite 16.0 and 21.1 all on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 64b release. They run just fine no issues. I previously ran 13.0sp1 and 16.0 on Windows 7 Pro 64b.

    Unfortunately you will find version 15.0 is no longer accessible via the download page.

    Aside from 13.0sp1/13.1, the other versions now available are 17.0 thru 21.1.

  • You should be able to run the Quartus software (even 13.1) in Window 10.
