LPDDR2 in Cyclone V

I'm looking at using an LPDDR2 SDRAM with a Cyclone V part. Using Quartus 13.0 I can instantiate a memory controller Megafunction, choose a Micron part from the library, and successfully create the controller design. What confuses me is that all of the parts in the library have a X32 architecture. The Cyclone V handbook clearly states that the external memory interface can only support X8 or X16 architectures. What gives?
