Loading firmware with extra 0s on Flash loader has any difference ?

Hi all,

I use cyclone II FPGA and the flasher loader is EPCS4. So I have a question about downloading firmware to Flash loader: when firmware downloading into flash is completed, if I continue to send extra content that only contain 0 to flash loader. Does It have any influence on firmware on Flash loader? In other word, does it have any difference between the firmware without extra 0s and the firmware with extra 0s?
