Irc Chat for Altera Forum

Hi,

I'm thinking that may be is a good idea have a free IRC Chat to stay connected.

So I've created and IRC Channel on DalNet that is a free IRC Hosting.

The advantage of this server is that we don't need to create and account and authenticate every time that we can user the irc and we don't need to download any application to chat because the web site provide a simple and intuitive chat windows on the browser.

This chat doesn't try to replace the the form in any way. This is only to get other way to interact between us.

Here the instructions to access to the channel.

1) Go to www dot dal dot net (I don't have 5 post yet :oops:)

2) In the right side you can see a "Chat Now" section, so you need to type a nick and then click on "Go!" button.

3) If and security windows appear saying that the browser want to lunch a Applet from "J Pilot Software Company" click on "Run" button to authorized the applet to run.

4) A chat windows will be appear, please wait a few seconds to applet connect with the server. If the server is online a list of command will be seen and the last say : *** Mode Change "-o fabricio_constantin" on channel# DALnet-java-chat by ChanServ" , where fabricio_constantin is the nick name that I've wrote on the DALNet web site before click on Go!.

5) At this point you are in the main DALnet Channel, so we need to change to Altera Forum chat. To do this you only need to type "/join# AlteraForum" and that's it, you are in a free chat to Altera Forum.
