interfacing to SPI from DE2

I wish to interface via SPI to an analog front end chip (for RX.TX selection, programmable gain etc). I would like to do this from the Terasic DE2 board but the expansion slot is already taken up with the ADC/DAC. Can I accomplish this via the USB port with some kind of USB to SPI converter?

    Hi,

maybe it´s more easy to unsolder resistors R20, R21, R22 and R23. Than you can use the lines to the PS2 connector if you don´t need him.

I think, you don't need to remove the said resistors to use the PS2 connector as a peripheral interface. But two lines can work for I2C only. If throughput isn't critical, it's actually an option.
