In_built A/D capability for device

THe Virtex 5 devices do not have any channels of A/D input, but perhaps you have seen a reference design that utilizes external 12 bit A/D's and is then inputed into the FPGA and the data is operated on byt the DSP blocks in the V5.

The Altera Stratix II family has similar functionality as well.
