--- Quote Start --- Start lmtools, select the server, click the server status tab, and click "Perform status enquiry". If you don't know what I'm talking about, then read the FlexLM manuals. Your license file should have a line like: SERVER fred 001122334455 1717 i.e., SERVER <machine name> <MAC address> <server port number> --- Quote End --- I understood your instruction and got the port number: Status -------- Flexible License Manager status on Sat 4/14/2012 01:30 [Detecting lmgrd processes...] License server status: 27000@MAINSERVER License file(s) on MAINSERVER: C:\altera\Licenses\License_2012_03_16.dat: The client could ping to the MAINSERVER. But when I change the LM_LICENSE_FILE to 27000@MAINSERVER and open Quartus, still it cannot be licensed. What else should I check? Thanks.
