High IC delays

:(Hi guys working on a module and having problems with large IC delays from input ports to registers.

I am working at 225 Mhz in stratix V...and still when i checked for timing in the fast corner case it showed an IC delay of more than 4.5ns just at module level from input ports to the registers.

    Yes i enabled that...but the tool ignored the assignment for all the input pins...

    I can't remember in what cases the assignment gets ignored, but that's where i would start looking
