FPGA to PC high speed communications

I am looking for the most simple method for an FPGA to send data to, and receive data from, a PC at relatively high speed of 5MBits/second. The way I have done this previously is by using a FT232 ...

Thanks for the replies, do the FT232H and the FT2232H still show up as virtual com ports on the computer?
