FPGA to PC high speed communications

I am looking for the most simple method for an FPGA to send data to, and receive data from, a PC at relatively high speed of 5MBits/second. The way I have done this previously is by using a FT232 ...

Try the FT232H chip. I don't use it but I known it is prepared for high-speed USB communications.
