FPGA cyclone4 and EPCS16

I am mew to this field. I am using cyclone 4 FPGA.I want to configure automatically when power up.So i found AS mode with EPCS16 and JTAG.As give on handbook ,i need maximum around 9 MB RAM.So i ...

I´ve not used any C4 part, so I don´t know about AP programming mode.

For AS (but maybe also for AP):

For programming your flash device via JTAG, you have to convert your sof-file to a jic-file (file -> convert programming file). In the programmer, select the jic-file and your flash device can be programmed by JTAG. After programming switch power off and on and your FPGA configuration will be loaded from flash.
