FPGA cyclone4 and EPCS16

I am mew to this field. I am using cyclone 4 FPGA.I want to configure automatically when power up.So i found AS mode with EPCS16 and JTAG.As give on handbook ,i need maximum around 9 MB RAM.So i ...

Maybe.

An EP4C40's configuration stream is over 9Mbit uncompressed. Therefore, an EPCS8 (8 Mbit) is not enough.

However, the FPGA supports compressed configuration streams. Depending on the design, compression may allow the configuration to fit in an EPCS8.
